Where
The school is nomadic. It moves between rural places, between everyday spaces and art spaces, between formal and informal settings. The school arrives in each place at the invitation of someone local.
It currently exists across a network of villages, rural communities and interest groups in seven European places. It also exists here, on this website.
Classrooms can be anywhere: on fields, in village halls, behind barns and across the road. They include places where knowledge is practised, and explore and unlock new spaces for producing knowledge together, through learning, sharing, caring and acting.
In each place, the school is organised anew, based on what collaborators and partners want to cover.
The school makes space for recognising contemporary rural cultures and local abilities to connect with the non-human.
We do this by walking, handling, touching, drawing, editing, cooking, eating, showing and listening.
